How To Make Your Workouts Fit Your Busy Schedule

Training consistently is difficult. Especially when you have little time for it. Let’s see how you can fit a solid workout routine into your busy schedule and get consistency in your training.

Schedule your Workouts

Step 1: Integrate workouts into your calendar and treat them like business appointments. Take 10 minutes every Sunday to schedule 3-4 workouts for the upcoming week. These are appointments with yourself, for yourself. Take them seriously, just as you take business calls seriously.

Have a Plan B

Having workout blocks in your calendar is powerful. However, things don’t always go as planned. Something might pop up unexpectedly and you don’t have the time for a full workout. That’s when you need a plan B. A spare workout that takes you just 15-20 minutes but guarantees that you stay consistent. You could go for your favourite bodyweight exercises and get as many reps in as possible or pick a random HIIT workout on YouTube. Whatever, get moving! Anything is better than skipping a workout.

Catch up ASAP

Scheduling your workouts and having a plan B helps most of the time. However, we all skip a workout sometimes. Then it is important to catch up on it as soon as possible. Open your calendar, drag over your missed workout block to the next open time slot, and make up for the slip-up.
